Dale and I just graduated our third child, Mallory, from Sure Foundation Academy this past weekend. Fourteen years ago when our home school began, the LORD impressed Isaiah 28:16 to me. "So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts will never be dismayed.' " Also in 1 Peter 2:6 "For in Scripture it says: 'See I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.' " We named our school after this verse and formed our mindset for our home school from it. I have held onto these verses throughout my teaching years, keeping Jesus as our Cornerstone. Being a home school mom is something more than being a public school teacher. I'm not saying that public school teachers don't care, but home school moms teach their "own" kids. Need I explain further? It is a sacrificial, loving commitment that reaches far deeper than academics.

Here he is Super Cooper!!
