Mik has enjoyed having her first pet, Bella. Bella follows Mikiah EVERYWHERE!!! Over a week ago, Mikiah and Drew were coming in from the garage and "someone" shut the door forgetting poor little Bella. After prayer, we have been waiting and hoping for her recovery. Tonight Bella went on a walk with us and ended up running most of the 4 blocks around our house....she ran so fast because Mikiah was running infront of her. (I was holding the leash and running to keep up!) The great thing I noticed was no limping!! Praise the LORD!

Cooper and Derek and Amy were here 2 weekends ago. Here is Cooper hanging with the family cat, Jimma. We have some catchy names for our pets. We didn't plan it this way, but our Golden Retriever's name is "Jenna". Our cat is "Jimma". Our newest member, Mik's Dachshund is "Bella". I guess we are into the "ah" sound. Tyler named our cat Jimma Dunn years ago. I think it was after some character he created for a film.....Derek and Ty know for sure. The funny thing is there really is a man that lives near Independence, KS, named Jimma Dunn. I found this out by mistake one day when I was telling an old friend about our cat, and she told me she happened to be related to a man with the same name. Crazy!! As you can see in this pic, Coop is pretty bored by Jimma. Peahi gives him a lot more to think about!
Here is a shot of the siding going up on the back of our house. It is all on now and I finished one coat of paint yesterday. This pic is so funny because I was having Drew and Mikiah stand by the house for the pic. This shot was taken just after the one I asked them to stand by the house on. They both didn't know I was taking another shot, and both had stepped forward a bit and started picking on their sore hands. Both of them had gotten into some sandburrs earlier that day and were still trying to get all of the stickers out.
Trey, Drew, and Mikiah are taking some classes with WWHM this year. (West Wichita Homeschool Ministries). We are happy with the decision we made to get involved. Trey has had the most shock in this new approach to homeschooling. He is taking 4 classes that require quite a bit of reading and homework 4 days per week. Here is what Trey looks like doing his school. I don't have a school room, so much to my dismay, we use our living room and kitchen most of the time.

We went to Joe Manley's first football game this past weekend. He plays for Weslyen University in Lincoln, NE. I didn't get very many pics especially since it rained like crazy at the end of the game. Joe is #20 in the picture above and his fan club was seated in the first row right infront of the pep band. It was a little noisy there, but good seats. We had a nice time with the Manley family. Pictured here are Abby and Hannah with Mallory and Mikiah. Mallory and Joe have been friends since they met at kids' camp years ago. They were partners in an egg toss competition and it just seemed to go from there!!

Wow! You guys have been busy - as always. I'm sure those white uniforms got dirty during the rainy part of the game. Looks like you guys were having fun in NE.
Bella is the perfect dog for Mikiah. I think it's so cute that Bella is so small and follows Mik around the house.
